Welcome to the Books page of David Gibbins’ website. The linked pages contain details of David’s two novels Atlantis and Crusader Gold, and a taste of what you will find inside. David’s first novel, Atlantis, has been a huge international bestseller, selling almost a million copies in many languages. It was a UK top thirty bestseller for many weeks in 2005 and 2006, and was a New York Times top thirty bestseller on publication by Bantam Dell in 2006. Among the foreign language editions so far – of 30 due in total - it has been Newsweek No. 1 bestseller in Poland, no 1 bestseller in Turkey and a top thirty bestseller in France.

His second novel, Crusader Gold, is a New York Times top 10 bestseller. It is also a Globe and Mail Top 10 bestseller in Canada and a bestseller in the UK, and is being published in 20 other languages so far.

His third novel, entitled The Last Gospel in its UK edition and The Lost Tomb in its US edition, is published in 2008. More about that book will appear on this site in July and August 2008. The publication dates for 2008 are as follows:

March 2008 - The Last Gospel hardback and trade paperback (UK)

April 2008 - The Last Gospel trade paperback in Canada

May 2008 - The Last Gospel trade paperback in Australia

August 2008 - The Last Gospel mass-market paperback in the UK, and Atlantis reissue in the UK as large format mass-market paperback

September 2008 - The Lost Tomb mass-market paperback in the US, and Atlantis and Crusader Gold reissue with new covers in the US (the US Atlantis reissue will also be sold in Canada)

Film rights:

A film based on Atlantis is in development by Alchemy Television Group as a major two-part miniseries called the The Atlantis Factor  produced by Gale Anne Hurd (Terminator, Armageddon, Aliens). To see progress on the film, click here for the Alchemy website.
